Everyone on the internet wants to be on page one of the Google search engine.

But only one site can claim this top spot. The competition may be hard but not for some. They can do it! And as the saying goes, if they can do it, so can we.

Being on the top spot would mean more traffic.

So, here are some tips and techniques that I have gathered on how you rank as number one on Google’s search engine.

    Hi Andrew
Some more good articles for us for our weekend reading thanks. The advantage of having a small niche means I got onto page 1 fairly early on but have to work hard to keep my niche in front.

That is a nice collection of useful links, Andrew!
At first I didn’t notice that the links were part of the article (it seems that they are link to related post), and I was thinking: “Hmm, were are the tips?!”.
I actually read some of the articles before, and ChrisG article about Trustrank is one to remember.

P.S. I like your thinking, building content not only through your writing but through links!

      Thanks, Alex.

I hope some of the articles are helpful.

    Hi Andrew,

I have an idea I’m going to start testing for how to do exactly this. Perhaps you would like to be involved in it?

    Hi Andrew,

Thanks for the links…lots of juicy stuff to read. =)

I’ve been fluctuating between position #8 and #16 for the last few weeks and it’s so frustrating. It’s consistently inconsistent. =)

Maybe I can get some insights on this from these reads.

    Ciao!

    • Andrew October 17, 2010 at 9:23 am #

      Michele

Google takes a little while to ‘settle down’ and decide where you end up. Hence the fluctuations.

Keep doing what you are doing and I hope there are one or two more ideas in the articles.

I love the article about linkerati, the people who control the linking structure of the Web. Many among them are web hosting providers, affiliates and hosting resellers or people promoting them in some way. And yes, it’s all about unique, interesting and shocking or revealing content. Thanks for waking me up!

I really love stuff from SEOMoz and find their stuff to be top notch. Yoast and Performancing have some great stuff, too.

    Hey Andrew,

Very useful links to learn. I have read some of them, some i haven’t.

Getting our site to be in the 1st page of Google is indeed always wanted, especially we all know traffics = potential clients = potential earning resources.

    Hey Andrew,

I went to some of these sites and read the articles. Interesting…One of the bloggers suggested buying links. I didn’t think that was kosher with Google.

    Will you clarify or confirm?

    • Andrew October 25, 2010 at 10:15 am #

      Diane

      For me…I wound’t buy links.

    Hi Andrew.
I’ve been stuck on page 2 for nearly 2 months now and it can be frustrating. I have done both onpage and offpage seo but still no advancement. Thanks for sharing the links. I will go with link #5.
