    Hi Andrew
I had an encouraging comment on my site today from a guy who like you knows about these things and I was ranking really well apparently with my keywords. I’m still learning heaps and just write my content for my readers but must be doing something right so I was very encouraged. Thanks for all the resources too. Quality content as always.

Research keyword, build the blog, build the links rinse and repeat. Sooner or later, search engines will start to pick it up. Can be overbearing especially for beginners. This site is for them!

I think SEO is fairly easy to learn; for me it’s just a matter of discipline because it takes so much more time.. not just to write (that’s not too much more time) but to research keywords and build the page.

Now, backlinks… personally that’s something I need to learn more about

Hey Andrew, great selection of useful seo information.
Before you start optimizing your website/blog check beforehand for which keyword you want to rank it high on the search engines. If you have too much competition (for example all sites on first page are yaho sites), I would suggest you choose another keyword. This first step is essential and often overlooked, but It can save you some precious time.
Btw nice blog you got on going.

    Cheers,
    Chris

    • Andrew October 10, 2011 at 4:44 pm #

I agree with your Chris…many web owners skip this step and they wonder why they get little traffic.

Great article, my 3 seo techniques are:
    Fresh content.
    Exposure.
    Giving Solution.
Fresh content is hard to get, but the ones that don’t give up will be rewarded by google for sure.
Exposure is the biggest seo technique, because our clients think about more exposure when they think about hiring you for seo.
And Solution, give the right solution for every way you can sell a product using seo, because seo sells products.

I would like to emphasis on basis points..1. Make a very good website first with proper navigation structure which could be crawlabe to googlebot.
    2. Put proper meta description and page title.
    3. Make sure that all pages should linked to root page.
    4. Add 404 page (Must needed)
    5. Put Blog page in your website , most probably WordPress
    6. Add XML sitemap for dynamic pages
    7. Add Sitemap page for uses
    8. And finally promote quality content properly using social media networking options. Hope this will help…
