You can start blogging while still working full-time. I did for 3 years!
Then I was making enough money to leave the corporate world.
Andrew

Actually keyword research would be the most important thing after picking out your niche. HostGator would be fine for hosting.
The term blogging is for writing quality content and be able to share it to the public and somehow a way to make your presence online. Making money would be easier if you already have your brand.
Levi
It’s actually quite difficult to say which one is the most important. They are all important.
Bit like saying which one is the most important in a successful football team:
The coach?
The team?
The pitch manager?
The nutritionist?
All very important.
Andrew
This may sound cliche but in my experience the best way to choose your niche by selecting the topic that you love to write about. Nowadays, high quality content is necessary not only in user’s perspective but also for search engines. If you’re passionate about the topic you’re writing about, then surely you can come up with an article that would bring valuable information to your readers and an article that will stand out from the rest.
Gary
What you love to write about is only part of picking a niche.
If you want to make some income…the niche you love to write about may not sell on-line.
Then that niche would be a waste of time…no matter how much you love it.
Andrew
Andrew,
This series looks great. I’m looking forward to following along.

I can’t stress enough the importance of quality content. We all have read posts that have rather vague and generalized content that is not actionable or at least inspiring to the reader.
True Justin.
Content is getting harder and harder to create.
I’ve often said ‘good enough’ is no longer good enough!
