How to improve page rank by having a link building campaign

backlinksWant to improve page rank?

Have a link building campaign in place?

Well after reading the results of this study you definitely will…

You may or may not have heard of Steven Clayton and/or Tim Godfrey.

In the past I have purchased a couple of their products including “Commission Blueprint”  and I have grown to like them as individuals and I trust their advice.

So why am I telling you this?

Well Tim and Steve have just  finalised a study that took over a year to complete, entitled  “Does Google Really Care about Content?”

In simple terms they were looking at what actually impacts the page rank of a site because the higher the page rank, the more traffic you’ll get.

So they look at a number of different factors and the conclusion is:

What does Google care about most?

Backlinks!

A quite from the report:

“Absolutely the only thing that had an impact on page rank in our study for the majority of domains was back links. The more back links and the higher the quality of those back links, the higher the page rank of the page that was being linked to.”

Serious stuff!

And in my experience of my latest blog sites, I can agree.

For instance, this site has over 1600 backlinks according to Yahoo and over the last 2 months I have been concentrating on the keyword phrase “blog income”.

If you perform a Google search for ‘blog income’ you will see Google says there are 46.8m competing sites and this one, my site, is position number 8.

If you were to put “blog income” and search again, you will see this site is in the number one and number two spots.

You can see from the graph (created using Market Samurai) below, over the last few weeks my position has rapidly improved.

Building Backlinks

It may be a coincidence, although, I doubt it but just a couple of months ago I came across “Angela’s Backlinks”.

Angela’s Backlinks provides you with a monthly report of 30 High Page Rank sites, using screenshots so that you can copy and have backlinks in place linking back to your site within minutes.

I just received my August 09 report from Angela and every single backlink recommendation is from a site with a Page Rank of 6, 7 or 8.

And the price for such a report?

$5 a month!

Adding these backlinks as part of your link building campaign is a must if you want to improve page rank and traffic.

When clicking on the “Angelas Backlinks”-link (https://www.webuildyourblog.com/backlinks.html) and then the “Paypal-subscribe” button at the bottom, you just login at paypal and nothing else happens.

What is supposed to be happening?

Sorry my mistake! Links are now working.

      Thanks for letting me know.

I used your affiliate link to signup, so I hope you got your cut 🙂

I must say, after having seen 1/4 of the August links – this sounds a bit fishy. Creating profiles on websites/forums with the sole purpose of putting your keywords into the bio/signature. I don’t know if the site owners mind or if this is “taking advantage”?

But your stats clearly shows there’s something to it, so might consider giving it a shot against one of my other sites.

      Klaus,

Thanks for buying through my link – appreciate that.

The sole purpose is to create backlinks from high ranking sites. Those backlinks give your site a lot of Google love and by using Angelas backlinks report, it’s quick and easy….and it works!

I understand the purpose etc., and I\’m sure it works too.

I\’m just not too happy about the method. I feel we\’re exploiting the system. What if everybody knew about this? I\’d say that either:

    1) All such sites (forum etc) will have nofollow links as default.
    2) Google will no longer put as much weight on keywords like that, as it does now – or, as I think it does now 🙂
    3) We\’ll all cancel out eachother because everybody is doing it. Well, everybody will never be able to do it, but a lot more people will do it.

Nevertheless, I\’m still giving it a try to see how it works 🙂

      Klaus,

People were saying the exact, same, thing about Social Bookmarking links two years ago, and look how strong that is today!

Keep us posted on your progress.

Are the links from Angela’s Backlinks “do follow”?

The links are great, of course in conjunction with other link building methods. However, I was stuck and Angela’s links helped me to get the site I was working on right to page 1.

    • Andrew Rondeau October 23, 2009 at 9:41 pm #

Angela’s links helped me get to page one of Google as well – so we know they work!

Personally, I think people are put off due to the price.

    Very informative post Andrew!

It’s very good to find new sites for backlinking, is it right that linking from the same domain name over and over will not matter too much and it’s better to get links from different domains?

I think it is worthwhile getting backlinks FROM many different domains.
