Wondering what a guest blog is?
In simple terms, a guest blog is when you write a blog post and post it on someone else’s blog.
Doing this has its advantages like increasing traffic and blog promotion.
Personally, the thing I like about guest blogging is that it shows how bloggers nowadays are willing to help each other out. Indeed, no man is an island, even in the blogging world.
Remember the blogs you publish as guest posts have to be unique and not published elsewhere.
Over the last few weeks I’ve had the benefit of having several of my blog posts published on other blogs.
Guest blogging is not an easy task. You have to make the blog post one of your best because this is your chance to promote your blog to another blogger’s audience and thus increase traffic to your site. But it may not be accepted. The owner of the blog wants to share great advice to their readers, not any old rubbish.
If the blog post is accepted and the readers like your post, hopefully they will be interested enough to visit your site.

I have not guest blogged myself yet, but I do accept guest posts on my blog. Maybe I should start to actively seeking places where to write guest posts.

Thank you for a great post which for me is very appropriate as I have been approached to be a guest blogger for duration of few weeks on a blog for a professional association. From guest blog we can reach to new audience. While it is a good opportunity to get quality link and the best way to promote the blog.

I think guess post is really a great opportunity for you to introduce yourself and your blog. We need to really increase our network to get more opportunity to do guess post. The hard thing is that you give your best content to someone else.

If you guest post on ‘bigger’ blogs that yours then it’s worth giving your best content away.

No doubt, there are many advantages of writing guest post on others’ blog. If your guest post is accepted by big guy such as Problogger, Daniel Scocco etc, then you will even get more new readers to your blog. Of course, the quality of the post must be high and grammatical error free.

I like guest posting. I have been a ghost writer for blogs, but have done very few guest posts. I will be looking into doing more guest posts and having more guest posts in the future.

I do understand that guest blog is an effective way to drive traffic to your site. However, in my case i’m afraid of being rejected. The feeling of rejection just kills me. I need to overcome this fear first before doing this method. Anyways, thanks for the great post.

You shouldn’t fear the rejection. You will be rejected…no doubt…we all are…but simply move onto the next blog that accepts guest posts.

i think guest posting brings you a lot of backlink to which directly effect your Google Pagerank
se on my blog i have more than 5 % posts by guests so i think everyone should do that this guest post on my blog is really awesome
Guest posting is indeed one of the best possible ways of getting recognition, getting traffic to your blog and also building backlinks to your blog.
A well written post on a good blog can do more for your reputation and get you more traffic than you could ever imagine!
As for me i don’t want to give out some of my good content, but i will try problogger

I think that is the wrong aproach.
You want to give out your best content – so poeple see it especially if your target a bigger site than yours to guest post on.
