Blogging Guide: The Pages Google Expect To See

This is the fifth video in my new blogging guide series.

In this blogging guide video I show you what I believe are the essential pages that Google (and your visitors) expect to see on your blog. To create these pages will take you less than 10 minutes…so it’s certainly worth the effort.

Do you have them on your blog already?

Are you going to add them to your blog?

Let me know by sharing your views in the comments below.

I don’t have the disclaimer or affiliate disclosure. I never really thought these mattered. I will take your advice and copy yours.

Thanks for the post, and goodluck with your anti-chocolate diet 🙂

      Thanks, Terrence.

The pages are worth adding and I’m glad you like the new header.

I’m thinking about removing the rotation of headers, though – what do you think?

    Hi Andrew,

Great video series so far! I’ve been using self-hosted WordPress for a few years, and every video has taught me something I didn’t know before today.

Question: If I didn’t set up comment nesting at the beginning, will it work now? Only with new posts? If not, do you have any suggestions on what to do to make comments nest?

    Thanks,
    Sherri

      Hi Sherri,

Thanks for dropping by and commenting.

Re: nested comments. It will work now if you set it up – unfortunately only on future posts, I believe.

I do not know of any way to make them nested retrospectively…but still make the change now…nothing to lose.

Nice video Andrew, I don’t create some of the pages that you mentioned, such as affiliate disclosure as I’m not in the affiliate field, but I do have some other pages like disclamer, comment policy, and etc. I believe that Google would love these pages, I’m sure Google may love this blog post too as you write about what they like. 😀

    Regards,
    Lee

    Andrew:
Nice to actually hear your voice! Wasn’t expecting the accent. It’s great.

Good tips. I don’t have a privacy page yet, and I guess I need to get on that. Thanks for allowing us to base our text off of yours. I’m going to take you up on that. Should have my private parts covered (so to speak) in the next day or two.
    thanks! Kathy

      Kathy

      You are welcome!

Many people say they like my accent – I don’t hear it that way, at all!
