Thanks for sharing these interesting articles from blogger fellows Andrew. Usually advertisers will mail me individually and ask about it, or another way I’ll check out the advertiser in other blogs, contact the advertiser and send them my proposal. From 10 proposal I sent out, I’ll receive at least 3 responses and accept my proposal.

That’s what I do to find advertisers for my blog. Of course, traffic is still the main key to get more advertisers.

    Regards,
    Lee

      Lee,

      Do you find it worthwhile?

I assume you do – otherwise you wouldn’t do it, right?

Andrew.. nice list of places to get all the info you need to get advertisers.

I think people need to know that you should wait till you have decent traffic numbers before you attempt to get advertisers.

      John Paul,

You are right – having decent traffic makes a huge difference.

I’ll personally, most likely, by shying away from direct advertising, but you got some handy dandy lookin’ links there for those that want it. 🙂

Sponsors can be that additional income you will receive besides any program your promoting. You might think getting sponsors are hard but it’s actually easy.

One way to get them, once you have a good number of visitors like Andrew talks about at the top. Is to look for relative sites in your niche.

Then look for the adsense ads on their pages, click on those sites and contact the owner an negotiate a monthly or week price on advertising.

Yes you might get a lot of no’s, but people will start to say yes and you will start building a profile of advertiser.

Nice Andrew. I just read most of the articles and I really enjoyed them. It got me thinking on how it would be easy to make money. You shouldn’t always wait for people to come to you. You can also simply contact the people.

    • Andrew September 4, 2010 at 7:11 am #

      Julius,

      I’m glad you liked them.

I still don’t think it is easy to make money – it’s takes hard work and persistence…but I agree…don’t wait for people to come to you.

I never even considered this. My blog is mostly about horses, cowboys, and ranch life. I guess I could probably target a western store, vet, or ranch that does breeding..HA…I will definately put this into action when I change my site over to it’s own web host. I already have a .com but don’t use it. I guess I should. Thanks for the article. I bookmarked & printed it for later reference!

  13. Tinh August 31, 2010 at 9:20 am #

That is not easy but not something impossible. I have got several sponsors for my blog and even contests but it is harder for new blogs indeed. Those listed articles are worth reading. Thanks

    • Andrew September 4, 2010 at 7:15 am #

      Tinh,

      I don’t think anything on-line is …easy!

And getting sponsors is hard work.
