Last week I told you I have signed up for Jimmy Brown’s affiliate course to start my own affiliate marketing strategy.
Today I receive in my email inbox, as promised, Lesson 2.
But let me tell you about lesson 1 first.
Jimmy introduces the “Four Stages” of successful affiliate marketing:
1) STRATEGY. The initial stage of the affiliate business model is developing a basic plan of attack. This will be your overall strategy for producing sales through your affiliate link.
2) SELECTION. After getting a good understanding of how to make money as an affiliate, it’s time to make some crucial decisions. You’ll need to select a market, a product to promote as an affiliate and a domain name in order to begin building your affiliate commissions.
3) SETUP. Once your foundational decisions are in place, it’s time to begin setting up two important things that will enable you to build significant income as an affiliate: a blog (free) and a list (free to low-cost).
4) SELLING. You’ll spend the majority of your time in this final stage. This is the place where you promote your affiliate link over and over again. There are a wide variety of ways to do this and we’ll be covering ALL of the proven effective ones. We’ll begin this in a few weeks and continue for the remainder of our year together.
The Affiliate Marketing strategy, which Jimmy outlined, was new to me. I didn’t know you could do what he is proposing. Obviously it would be unfair of me to mention what Jimmy outlines but I shall go down the route he explains and keep you posted on progress.
Then it’s onto the selection of markets and products.
Jimmy shares his 3 simple criteria that decides upon your target audience and shares his experience on what are the best products to go for.
Then it’s domain registration time. Jimmy explains some great ideas on the domain name to choose.
All nice and easy to understand so far!
And that was lesson 1.
In lesson 2, we actually set-up the blog on the domain name you have chosen.
For me, I’m going to use this blog. So there is no work for me to do this week.
I do like this step-by-step approch to my own affiliate marketing strategy.
