Are your opt-in's increasing?
Internet marketers, unless they got stuck in the last century, already know how effective and important a tool a sequential autoresponder can be. However, here is one way to use it that might not have occurred to you or it might have but you decided against using it.
There is no secret to this particular online marketing strategy. It has been around for a while. It’s the simplicity that makes people like yourself consider it nor worth using. You might even have thought it doesn’t work or possibly that it’s worn out and therefore no longer effective. If that describes you, you might want to rethink that.
Here’s why this is a nifty way of using this strategy.
Millions of users come on line each and every day. Most visit the internet to learn something new or get information that they need to solve a problem. These new visitors have never come across this marketing tactic. With other words, you might consider it old hat but for newbies coming onto the internet they haven’t come across this.
So let’s see what it’s all about.
Step 1: Set up another project directory on your Internet site. Think of a universal password and user name which your present opt-in list people will use as well as the new subscribers to your list.
Call your new project, for example, “My Magic Steps to Astounding Money Making Opportunities…” or something like this, to attract them. The following step will be the most difficult part of the whole sequential autoresponder marketing strategy.
Step 2: Spend some time researching and finding some really valuable reports, eBooks, articles, scripts (are good), videos or even software which must of course fit your niche market. Upload this to your new directory and make sure your subscribers are able to download them readily. Be one hundred percent certain that the items are free to give away.
Step 3: This part is really important. Compile a short series of autoresponder messages (3 to 4) to go out to your list. The point of these mails is to create a buzz about what’s coming from “ My Magic Steps to Astounding Money Making Opportunities.” It’s probably a good idea to include a small bit of relevant information in these mailing.
Make sure these mailings are designed and will go out in an order that will finish in a crescendo of hype. Space them out over a week for a constant ‘drip’ of messages. Your autoresponder will help you to send them out in the order you set them up in.
Step 4: Compose an interesting and curiosity arousing conversational “sales page” about “My Magic Steps to Astounding Money Making Opportunities..” Don’t forget to include the fact that these information/give-aways are free. To make it even more successful set a timeframe by which people can sign up for or limit how many people you will give this to. This is to make subscribers feel they are taking part in a private club kind of event.
Do be careful though not to make the mistake of not shutting down your offer when you reach the total number of people you have mentioned in your promotion or when the deadline has been reached. You could damage your credibility of your new subscribers and old subscribers if you don’t stick by your promise. If you get caught not delivering on your promise you could end up losing leads instead of gaining them.
Here is where the payoff comes into effect!
As soon as all these people have opted in to your new list you can now send out new notices as to what’s going on with your “My Magic Steps to Astounding Money Making Opportunities…”. Of course you can also include information about other products which are positioned in the same niche market which in this instance is about money making opportunities.
Try this sequential autoresponder marketing tactic. Even though it’s been around the block a few times it still works and can be very profitable when used properly.

One thing I’d like to add is that you really need to take the time to put together a good opt-in page. If you’re not taking the time to do this, you could spend a few weeks on every other aspect and still not getting any subscribers.
Here’s a short list of the things you’ll need when doing a squeeze page…
*A catchy headline – I’ve found that using numbers in the headline really helps.
*A great intro paragraph – This should be short and easy to read, but still grabs attention. You’ve only got about six seconds before a reader disappears from your website forever… make sure to catch them hard.
*Bullets – Using 5-7 bullets on a squeeze page will make it super easy to read and entices people to keep reading.
*A call to action – Most people forget about this. Tell people exactly what you want them to do. Don’t just say “Sign up here!” – Instead say “Just enter your name and email address into the fields below to receive your free copy of ‘yadda yadda'”

This is a great overview of the basics of autoresponder.
It amazes me how many bloggers/online entrepreneurs still don’t have a clue about such a valuable resource.
