No. That is, it is not possible to keep such a quality level that leads to an increase of traffic, there’s just not time for that. Probably it’s possible to build a successful blog from zero for a single author, but once the blog has reached a good audience it starts another story…
Since early February, I’ve been wanting to personally check if it was possible for a one-man-blog to overcome the physiological traffic peak of his website increasing the post frequency and move to the next level. I made this test on the Italian version of Ikaro that counts almost 3500 daily visitors.
I continue to blog 6 days a week and this week I concentrated on the subject of “keyword research” as it is so important and I added new videos each day. I am beginning to like creating videos!
When I first started using video for blog posts, I wanted them to be perfect. So each time I made a mistake or simply stumbled over my words, I’d start again. It was taking hours to create a 5-minute video.
So you’ve created your blog and now you want to increase blog traffic. You want someone to start visiting and reading your marvellous writing because a blog without readers is pretty much useless.
If you’ve been blogging for a while and have been regularly posting, you most probably have a blog posting ‘plan’ or ‘arrangement’ you stick to.
Now do you have a traffic building plan?
If you have only been getting a trickle of viewers to your posts, you need to put a traffic building plan into action.
We are all looking for that ‘silver bullet’. The ‘silver bullet’ that will make us successful and each day we are bombarded by emails and adverts trying to sell us the latest buzz or hot topic.
Ever fallen for one of those and it turns out to be just a re-hash of something else? But the advert promised it was easy.
Yep, I have as well.
Nowadays if I do sign up for a free report or free something and all I get is emails from the individual trying to sell me something else – I simply unsubscribe.
I joined Twitter only a few weeks ago and the traffic to my site has vastly improved. Today, I have over 6,000 followers and they have become a high source of traffic to my numerous sites.
I tweet when I post a new article, I promote other sites postings, I sometimes ask questions and I have some automatic functionality using the free Twitter tools that are available.
Why am I telling you all this?
Well if you are already a Twitter account holder, you may not be getting the best from Twitter. If you are not yet Twittering, then I highly recommend you should.
