treadmills My favorite ‘at the gym’ musicAs some of you know this year I am taking my fitness and weight reduction seriously.

As a result I am now going to the gym 4 times a week plus badminton once a week and dancing twice a week.

The gym helps me think as well – check out my lyric writing: Blog-ger by NickelBack and Andrew Rondeau

The gym has music playing and TV’s you can plug you headset into, but for me taking my own iPod and music is a must.

facebook webuildyourblog Facebook Applications The Best Ones To UseI’ve had a Facebook page for a few years now but never really used it for marketing.

This week I decided to create a Facebook fan-page and I noticed there were so many applications which can be used to enhance your Facebook sites.

It’s a bit like WordPress plugins. We use plugins to enhance our blogs and with Facebook you use applications.

Facebook applications can make your page more lively, attractive, entertaining and engaging.

Facebook applications can help get you more friends and fans and help keep them coming back for more.

WeBuildYourBlog happy birthdayThis month my blogging guide blog, WeBuildYourBlog is one year old!

One year ago I left the Corporate world after 30 years of working long days, travelling around the world, managing thousands of staff and earning a nice big regular monthly pay-check.

I look back and I admit I loved my Corporate career. The majority of companies I worked for, I loved. The majority of bosses I worked for, I respected and built excellent relationships with. The majority of staff I managed were excellent team members.

social bookmarkingSocial bookmarking is fast becoming a popular way of promoting your blog.

Although it is a relatively new concept, most blogs I visit offer numerous buttons for me to click in order to promote and socially bookmark the blog post I’m reading.

So why should you socially bookmark other peoples blog posts (and even your own, sometimes!)?

Relationships

Building relationships is an absolute must if you want to have a successful blog. I am going to say that again because I want you to be more successful than you are today and you can be if you build on-line (and off-line) relationships.

Blogging GuideA list of contacts is one of the most important things a blogger can have. If you’re serious about making money online, you need to learn how to build a list the right way.

Getting people to provide you with their email addresses willingly can be somewhat difficult, so you need to prove to them that you will only send out informative emails and updates and not spam.

Furthermore, you also need to promise to keep their emails private and not sell them to a third party.
