Another month since my last post on what plugins I recommend you add to your blog and here’s a bunch more for your consideration. Hope a few give your blog some benefits:
This plugin allows you to display a configurable number of random links from your WordPress blogroll. This should help to combat link blindness while still letting you to share the link love with more of your favorite blogs.
Have a look on the right hand side of this blog under heading ‘fav links’, you’ll see 6 of my favourite links. Click the “refresh” button and a different combination of six will be displayed.
This plugin is extremely powerful and allows me to display the tags I use the most in my posts.
Again have a look on the right hand side of this blog, see the area under ‘tags’. The larger the tag phrase is, that means I used it often in my blog posts. Then click on one of the tags and it will show you all the blog posts associated with that tag. Great for SEO and for visitors.
This very simple plugin and it let’s you add an extra line of content to articles in your feed, defaulting to “Post from: ” and then a link back to your blog, with your blog’s name as it’s anchor text.
Now why would you want to do that?
Well, let’s say someone takes a copy of your blog post via RSS and copies it on their blog, you automatically have a backlink – without any effort on your behalf!
This plugin automatically displays short previews of your posts on your home page. Each preview includes a link to the full post. Evermore is simple to use — just install it and it starts working straight away. If you want, you can also customise the length and appearance of the previews.
Blog home pages are often too full. By default, WordPress displays the last ten posts on the main page; visitors have to do a lot of scrolling to see if there’s something interesting. With Evermore, visitors see a short preview of each post; they can easily scan your posts, find something interesting, and become hooked.
Now, this plugin is a must if you have product banners on your blog.
It simply and easily allows you to rotate the banners on your blog, so when visitors re-visit your site, they see new banners.
So again, see the banners on the right hand side of this blog, now refresh and you’ll see new different banners appear.
Have you seen Amazon.com’s product pages? They all have a “Readers who have bought this, also bought. So, why not implement this on your WordPress blog?
You can with this plugin. How cool is that?

Nice list, I like the RSS Footer plugin, and actually I have used the MaxBanner Ads plugin before, I still have it on my list but not activated, I only do it when I need to!
The most interesting plugin I see on the list is “Where did they go from here?”, this one is what I am going to try.

Nice list Andrew. Simple tags is great! Unfortunately never got it to work properly with my site ;-( … technical issues.
Not sure how Evermore is different than using Excerpt. Will have to look at this a bit more. Currently I use Excerpt to customize what I want to show on my homepage including an image and it’s quite time consuming.
