Well, at last I’ve done it!
I’ve finally created a guide that shows you the exact steps you have to take to make your own blog. Right from deciding upon a domain name through to adding blog posts (and with many steps in-between) – it’s all in this free guide.
It took me a little while to create because I’ve added lots of screen images and links to videos but I certainly enjoyed creating it.
I hope you enjoy reading and using it as much as I did creating it!
Simply click here and you can get your free guide.
By the way what do you think of the e-book design?
And if you can spare just a few minutes, I’d love some feedback on the e-book.
Just add your comments right here and I’ll answer every single one.

Having worked with Andrew on and off over the last year, I have found him to be very patient, helpful and easy to work with. He is also very knowledgeable, supportive and a true expert.
I happened to stumble upon Andrew's website (WeBuildYourBlog.com) while searching for blogging services that would help me start my very own blog. I was a total newbie when it came to the blogging world. Fast forward 3 months and not only do I have my own awesome blog, but friends and family are actually asking me how to start their own blog and I am able to set their blogs up for them! In only 3 months under Andrew's guidance I went from total newbie to being sought after. Thanks Andrew!
The
end result is a fantastic site that is attracting a lot more attention
and visitors than my old one.
Andrew
has extensive knowledge about internet marketing, SEO and building web
sites/blogs. His course explained everything in an easy to understand
way and I now have a web site that is generating me new clients and
producing income from internet product sales.
Thank you Andrew for your patience in getting my website and on-line courses on-line and selling. You were fantastic in learning the delivery platform software that I had chosen and you were across the complexities quickly. Your detailed approach in setting guidelines and deliverables bought my focus back to where it should be and got the job done. Thank you for all your efforts it was a pleasure.
Andrew
is highly knowledgeable about blogs, and you can get your blog up and running
successfully and fast. Andrew has helped me immeasurably with
my blog and he is patient and good natured and a wonderful teacher.
I was introduced to Andrew by a dear friend Corinne Edwards and Andrew as transformed by blog in ways that have reaped results. My membership has gone up and my blog always looks clean and easy to read. Whenever I send Andrew a request to check out - it's ALWAYS prompt and easy to understand. In my humble opinion he is the BEST when it comes to knowledge of the blogging world.
I wanted a stylish website that presented my original abstract art in a visually attractive way. Andrew came highly recommended to me as a "no nonsense" practitioner. He does exactly what he says he will do: I give him the parameters to work within and he provides a quick and precise service. You will receive nothing but the best from Andrew!
I have been online since 1996 and in that time I have been involved in the development of almost 400 web sites for my clients. I have worked with a wide variety of vendors and I have to tell you that Andrew @ We Build Your Blog has far exceeded my expectations. In addition to his vast knowledge and expertise, he is a genuinely great guy, who always goes the extra mile. I highly recommend him, in fact I only recommend him now for web development.
Andrew was kind enough to offer up his own time as part of an initiative to make the world a better place, and I was one of the beneficiaries of that effort. He spent an hour with me working on improving my bounce rate; he suggested several helpful strategies. Most importantly, he helped me with some key processes to help speed up my site, which had bogged down considerably with overuse of graphics. Andrew helped me get set up with Rackspace, which helped so much. From a load time of almost 30 seconds, the site sped up to about a 6 second load. Thanks so much, Andrew!
I
was impressed with the excellent service.
Andrew is an asset to our ongoing website and social media needs. He responds quickly, accurately, and cost effectively. Andrew plays a consultative role in many aspects to our online needs.
Andrew is the real deal and he knows his stuff! His customer service is superb and he gets your work done FAST! You won't need to wait around for endless weeks to see results. Most importantly he works on the site as if it's his own, thus you are assured that you will get the best quality service. I now give Andrew all of my new and old sites to work on. Trust me; you cannot go wrong with this gentleman!
I've spent insane amounts of money in the past with former webmasters until I discovered Andrew Rondeau.
The best blog builder, and the best blog maintenance, I've ever met is Andrew Rondeau. This fellow is an authentic professional in every sense of the word. He's lightning fast, knowledgeable, competent, a skilled listener. He goes the extra mile. He's able to share his passion for his work and products without being pushy. He as other great internet skills, too, but his most impressive attribute is mastery of website building.
Without Andrew, I wouldn't even have a blog -- I would still just be sitting here, staring at my computer, feeling confused and helpless. With Andrew, I no longer fear confusion and it's impossible to feel helpless. He exerts any and all necessary efforts to resolve any problem or perplexity -- quickly, kindly, intelligently, up to and including IM exchanges in real time via skype. I would urge anyone at any level of expertise (or not) to make the most of his extraordinary talent.
I
approached Andrew in February 2010, because I needed to enhance the way I communicated
my business.
I
am very happy to provide a testimonial for Andrew Rondeau. All the parts of
the process of working with Andrew were a pleasure. He clarified what I was
wanting and he delivered it without fuss. He was courteous and prompt in all
his dealings with me. I have no hesitation in recommending Andrew to anyone
who wants work done on their blog.
Andrew is highly knowledgeable about blogs and very customer service focused. I knew nothing about blogs and Andrew was very kind, patient, pleasant to work with, receptive and responsive. Work was delivered in timely manner and if I need anything done for blog again I would use Andrew. If you are looking for quality work, excellent customer service and someone that really gets YOU and your needs, I recommend Andrew!.
Hi, Andrew Rondeau here and this blog, my blog, will not lie to you. I will give it to you straight. This blog is about blogging, the Internet and sharing my experiences and advice on
I downloaded the free guide yesterday. Today, my blog is up and running. Excluding the wait for the hosting to be set up, it took me 38 minutes!
Thank you.

Hi Andrew
I’m experimenting with blogging at present. Your book confirmed a lot of of my research so far and I was pleased to see your list of plugins. I’ll be using a few of your suggestions.
I have a couple of questions though:
1. I look for WordPress themes that are already SEO friendly. Should I be adding additional SEO plugins to my theme?
2. I have WordPress loaded under secureu2.com/wp. Is it better to have WordPress in my route directory or in its own directory?
I look forward to further conversations with you Andrew.
Thanks again for your great book
John

John,
Glad you like the book.
I use the FLEXX theme which is also already SEO friendly and yes, I also add additional SEO plugins. The must one is the All-in-one-seo-pack plugin.
re: your second question. I would definitely have it loaded in your route directory.
Andrew
Hi Andrew
Many thanks for your reply.
I have the ‘All-in-one-seo-pack plugin’ all ready so thank you for confirming my hunch on this question. I’ll look into the FLEXX theme. That’s one that you mentioned in your ebook if I remember correctly.
Many thanks on your comments about placing WordPress as well. I’ll look into moving it, and I think the database it sits in (if I have the technical understanding nutted out).
Many thanks for sending me the ebook on writting content as well.
I’ll be reading that over the weekend.
I look forward to further contact

John,
You are welcome.
I did a quick search for “moving wordpress directory”. A few sites came up
including this one:
http://www.free-ebusinesshelp.com/wordpress/how-to-move-wordpress.html
It may help.
Andrew
Andrew
Thanks for the research in regards to moving WP.
I’m with a great domain host called ‘justhost’ and they did it for me. Their support team has helped me get out of quite a few sticky technical problems!
I’m enjoying your ebook on “Not a Writer? Not a Problem.” It has come to me at just the right time! I’m looking into article sites at present and considering contracting a writer to write content for me.
I’ll get my blog sorted out and then see what happens.
I’ll also give you some more feedback on the book.
John
Twitter: andrewrondeau
John,
Justhost! Wow that is good service. I’m creating a blog for a client at the moment and she had signed up with one of these ‘free’ website providers. It has taken us over 6 weeks to get her domain moved, so I can start on her site and they charged her £25. 6 weeks and £25 – a rip-off. They just didn’t know what they were doing. Now’s that real bad service.
re: content. A fellow professional writer and I have just started a new venture together – you may be interested. Here’s the blog: http://www.thedigitalarchives.com/ and here’s the monthly article writing service: http://www.articlewritingservice.biz/
All the best,
Andrew

What’s next for your blog?
Andrew

.-= lynnette´s last blog ..Hello world! =-.
great basic guide for a beginner. thanks for bringing it out. a Q: if a theme is compatible with WP 2.7, can i also use it for WP 2.8.2?
Twitter: andrewrondeau
Udaysree
In most cases themes are compatible with the latest version of WP. But I would check with the theme creator first and when/if you do upgrade….backup first.
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
You are a great guy. I actually got in contact with you via terry dean’s website (He is one great guy, you know!). I know you often read his blog and give comments.
Thanks for that great ebook. I am presently fondling with this site: http://www.proudlandowner.com from what I learnt in your ebook and you didnt even charge a dimep…!
Hope you check the site out and give your comment.
I have a few questions though.
I want to add the default comment field comprising of the name, email, website and comment field but it’s been a challenge.
Can you show me how to do that with my free wordpress theme?
My other question is that how do I add an aweber name and email subscription box to my blog…to be aligned right just like you did yours and that of maxblogpress.com
Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks a lot andrew. I am from nigeria but I am going to say Merci Beaucoup…that is thanks a million in french!

Thanks for dropping by and commenting on my guide – I really appreciate that and yes, terry is a gem if a guy!
I could not get your website to display – just a blank screen.
re: comments.
The facility should automatically be displayed – if you have checked the box ‘allow comments’ when you submit a post.
re: Aweber
I assume you have an Aweber account – yes? Within Aweber, create the website form, copy the HTML from Aweber and paste as a ‘text’ widget in your right sidebar within WordPress.
Hope that helps.
Andrew
Hi Andrew,
It’s me again!
I am a little bit surprised my site was blank when you visited. Could you check again now and still give your comment?
I did check the comment field and it’s still not working. The comment field seems to be opened to the author of the site alone. I cannot enable it for people to enter their name, email and comment box.
Any insight?
Twitter: andrewrondeau
Otolorin
This time I can see the site!
I like the colours. Perhaps only one column on the right would be better but it’s hard to tell until you add some content.
I don’t see what the problem is with the comments – I was able to add a comment.
Andrew
hi Andrew,
Thanks. You are my angel.Just checked my site and saw that the comment box is alive!
I know you did nothing to it however I want to look at it like this. Your aura brought the comment box alive.
If you look at the extreme side bar, I tried to add a video widget that would display a youtube video but it seems not to work.
Anyway, thanks for being so helpful.
Twitter: andrewrondeau
Glad the comment box works!
re: the video. Did you copy the html from the YouTube video and add as a text widget? That should work.
Andrew
Hey, I am looking into blogging for part-time income, trying to get some education and your download “how to make a blog” was just what I needed.
Thanks so much!
Couple of really basic questions.
1st I produce a nice blog with good content regularly updated.
2nd generate traffic via networking, SEO (lot to learn on that subject).
My question is that, after looking a lot on the web I am unsure of teh avenues that produce income and how to implement them.
Form what I gather there are multiple avenues:Selling products your produce I understand but how do you become a “Affiliate” where you send others to Amazon etc and how do you get paid? How do you generate income through advertisments on your site (adsense, or what other methods)?
Again, thanks for the book on building a blog – really gave me some basics!
Twitter: andrewrondeau
Mike,
To become an affiliate, you basically sign up! So you join Amazon Associates, for example, as an affiliate to sell Amazon products. Then ‘advertise’ those products on your blog. When someone buys the product via your link, you get a commission.
Depends on who you sign up with will determine how you get paid. Amazon pay you by check, I believe.
Does that help?
Andrew
It took me less than 5 minutes to find what I needed online. It was my first try and the blog was up and running in no time! Thank You SO MUCH!! I will recommend you and build a blog into some of my other sites.
Christine
Hi Andrew,
I read your how build your blog pdf.you give a path how to start a blog from top to bottom. But,
how to make targeted traffic to my blog.?
I want to bunch of blog post in advance and it will publish in different hours. Is there any plug in?
This is my web http://onlineideas.info.
Twitter: andrewrondeau
Mathan,
Thanks for dropping by and commenting.
If you want to future publish you post, you don’t need a plugin. You can tell wordpress when to publish your post. Just above the ‘publish’ button, you can schedule when you want to publish your post.

Hi Andrew
Love the new ebook. You go into great detail on some of those tricky points, especially around downloading and installing WordPress, and with plugins.
Great to see you recommending Market Samurai as well. It’s a fantastic package and well worth the investment.
I’d like to put another word in for Justhost.com, hosting site. I’ve always received great service and advice from them.
I have had trouble finding the right theme and will follow up your Flexx Theme offer. Its about time I put some money into a decent theme.
Thanks again for the fantastic advice.

Hi Andrew,
Lots of great information inside…technically speak, a step-by-step guidance significant for newbie how just starting out… Frankly speaking, it’s over deliver a bit because other pros would go to far off by framing it like a complete storyboard… None the less, well done and much appreciated from new ‘bloggerian’…
Cheers…
