Worthing Seafront
My wife and I live by the sea and often at weekends and weekday evenings we often go for a short walk along the seafront.
Last weekend it was lovely and sunny so a walk along the seafront is what we did.
As we were walking, another couple were admiring a brand new seafront art deco style seafront house.
I jokingly said, “I wouldn’t want to live there – everyone who walks passed, stares in. You’d get no privacy”.
It’s true you wouldn’t.
The lady of the couple replied, “Oh I couldn’t live in this country – it’s too cold”
“Where do you live?” we asked.
“Hove” said the lady laughing.
Hove is just a few miles along from where we live, Worthing.
Her words of “Oh I couldn’t live in this country – it’s too cold” didn’t make sense as she lived only a few miles away.
The lady carried on, “I mean I only live here a few months of the year. The rest of the time I’m aboard. I’ve just come back from Thailand”
“Wow. Nice. We were there a couple of years ago. Lovely place, lovely people”.
And we got chatting. I was talking mainly to the lady and my wife, her husband.
The lady, Maria was full of passion for Thailand and living.
It turns out that Maria taught English to disabled Thailand students. She is also a yoga teacher and teaches the disabled students yoga.
I love passionate people and I really warmed to Maria. We walked together for about a mile and in that time, I think I only asked her about 3 questions. The rest of the time, Maria was passionately talking about the disabled students and how excited, happy and fearless they are.
Maria said she would send me a video of one of the students. I gave her my email and within a few hours the video appeared in my email inbox. Passionate, reliable and keeps their promises.

This is an excellent proof that we can do anything and succeed if we have genuine passion for what we do. I am sure that Maria sometimes encounters difficulties while doing her job. But as what she has said, she spends most of the year in Thailand and she loves her job and how she helps her students with disabilities.
