Video Transcript:

Comment Sniper makes blog commenting easy. It allows you to monitor posts on your favorite blogs or just blogs related to your niche. Once an article is posted, it sends you a notification. It can be a desktop notification or thru sms notification. If you want sms notification, you just have to enable sms notifications and enter your mobile phone number. Once you have done this, then you are all set to receive notifications on your cellphone. Once either desktop or sms notification is received, you can then visit the site where the new post is from and comment away. The good thing is, you’ll be the very first one to be able to comment, thus more readers of that blog will see your link and visit your site. But of course, you have to make sure that your comment is contributing value to the post.

Here’s how to download comment sniper:

1.       Go to http://www.commentsniper.com/

2.       Click on the Download Now Free button.

3.       Enter the needed details: First Name, Last Name, and Email.

4.       Click the Download Now button.

5.       An email will be sent containing download instructions plus a unique license key for you to be able to register the application. This is all for free.

The first thing you need to configure is the notification settings first using the configuration tab:

1.       On the Comment Sniper start screen, click on the configuration tab.

2.       The first thing you have to set is the Poll Interval. This is the time interval in which Comment Sniper will check for new posts. The default time is 5 minutes, you can lengthen or shorten it based on what you like. You can basically shorten it, if you want it to be checked frequently.

3.       Under Notifications area is where you can set desktop and sms notifications. All you have to do is to check the box if you want them enabled. For sms notifications, don’t forget to enter your mobile phone number. You can choose to check or uncheck Alert me when Skype is not connected.

4.       Also, you can choose between Start the Sniper Process when Comment Sniper starts or Start Comment Sniper when Computer Starts. Choose which best fit your needs.

Choosing to use sms notifications require you to use Skype. To be able to successfully receive sms notification, skype and Comment Sniper must be running at the same time and most importantly, your Skype account should have a positive SkypeOut balance. If you do not have Skype, then install one and create a Skype account. Here’s how to connect to Skype to comment sniper:

1.       When attempting to connect to Skype for the very first time, a pop-out box requesting permission for Comment Sniper to connect to Skype will appear.

2.       Select “Allow this program to use Skype”

Next, you can configure your Comment Sniper to monitor top blogs or any blogs you like. Here’s how you do that.

1.       Go to the Blog Manager tab.

2.       To subscribe or add a blog, click on Subscribe Blog button.

3.       A pop-up window will appear. You have to choose the blog host if it’s Blogger, WordPress, Live Spaces or other.

4.       If you choose other, you have to fill in additional information like Blog URL, RSS URL where the XML feed is published and Title Tag. The title tag is the most crucial part, Comment sniper must be able to find the blog post “title” tags in the XML feed.

5.       Click OK

Once you have listed all the blogs you wish to monitor, then it is time to start the Comment Sniper. Here’s how it’s done.

1.       Go to the Sniper Process tab

2.       Then click on the Start button

3.       Make sure that you only minimize Comment Sniper and not close it.

4.       You can always stop the Comment Sniper process by clicking on Stop button.

If you don’t have a list of blogs to monitor yet, that is no problem because you can always search for related blogs to your niche using the Blog Searcher tab. Here’s how you search for blogs:

1.       Click on Blog Searcher tab

2.       Type in Search Term or the keyword for your targeted blogs. Like for example, if you have a catering business, then the most appropriate keyword term would be catering.

3.       Choose the Source, if you want to be form Blogger Blogs, WordPress Blogs, Live Spaces Blogs or Google Blog Search

4.       Choose the results if you want 50, 100, 200, 500, or 1000.

5.       Click the Search button.

6.       Once search is done, you can always have the option to sort the results via Google Page Rank or Alexa Ranking

7.       Check the box next to the blog if you want to subscribe to it.

8.       After you have chosen blogs you wished monitored by Comment Sniper, then you can now click on Subscribe Blogs button.

9.       Click Close button to close Blog Searcher and for you to go back to the Main Interface.

If an instance occurs that you missed both desktop and sms notification, you can always check for missed notifications via the Notifications tab.

Everything that is happening on Comment Sniper is being logged or recorded. You can always check this at the Event Log tab.
