Do you like the title?
It’s true.
By using the following step-by-step approach, it will make your blog index quicker in the search engines, build powerful backlinks and can provide a steady stream of organic traffic.
How?
Using RSS Directories.
RSS Directories hold millions of links to websites and blogs and are some of the most visited websites on the internet.
By adding your blog’s RSS feed to the RSS Directories, every future blog post you add to your blog, will automatically be added to the RSS Directory. And that means it could potentially be seen by thousands of visitors and your blog will receive a powerful backlink from the RSS Directory.
You only have to add your blog’s RSS feed to the RSS directory once and everything is set up to work automatically.
You can submit your blog feeds manually or use some RSS automatic software.
One of the best RSS Directories for rankings is:
You do not need an account, you can simply add your feed, like this:
__________________________________________________________________________________
Step 1. Go to http://feedagg.com/ and click on “Add Feed”

__________________________________________________________________________________
Step 2. Enter your RSS feed URL, your keyword phrases, check the “Tag Separator” by “comma” box, and the number it asks for. Then click the “Save Feed” button.

__________________________________________________________________________________
Step 3. After a few seconds your feed will be saved. Here’s an example:

__________________________________________________________________________________
Every time I add a blog post to that blog, the RSS directory FeedAgg will be automatically updated and provide my blog with a powerful backlink which helps rank my site and gets my blog indexed very quickly.
You can add your blog’s RSS feed to these other RSS Directories:
Powerful tip: You can also add your Twitter Feeds, Ezinearticles feeds, Hubpages feeds and numerous other sites.
However, don’t add all these RSS feeds in one day, otherwise Google may think you are trying to ‘spam’ the search engines. Just submit your main blog feed to all the RSS Directories on one day, then a day or 2 later add another feed, then a day or 2 later, another feed, etc.
Remember you only have to submit your feeds once and from then on, everything is automatic.
RSS Directory Submission Software
You can submit all your feeds to all the RSS Directories manually if you wish. But if you want to speed up your submissions and save loads of time (like I do!) I can recommend this tool:
I use this for all my RSS submissions. It’s super fast and takes less than 2 minutes to submit your RSS feed to over 30 RSS Directories.
Here’s the link for the RSS tool: Click here to check out all the details to the RSS submitter tool

My new blog post got indexed in less than a minute after publishing, but my new blog took about 1 week and got indexed once. I think the blog index is depending on how popular is your blog and the age of your blog, backlinks would be in their consideration too. If you have all these, I believe that Google would crawl your blog in daily basis and index your latest post in minutes.
Usually I don’t submit my blog RSS to RSS directories, but worth to try for my new blog though. Thanks for sharing Andrew!
Between, am waiting for your next wonderful guest post for my blog haha!
Keep in touch Andrew my buddy.
Cheers,
Lee

Hi,
Andrew Rondeau, this understandable topic. When I show your title I thought this is not interesting topic. But once I read details then I realized, your topic is more useful. I have newly made one blog and it took 2 days to index but not getting more traffic. To get good traffic I will follow your tips.

The traffic you get from the RSS directories will very much depend upon your blog’s niche and the title of your blog post.

I love coming to your blog. I always find out something new. I just added my blog to Feedagg.com as a result of your blog. I will measure the results and post them at my personal site in the near future. I will aggregate maybe a weeks worth of data, before I post.
I will add the other one over the next couple of weeks. Thanx for these great tips.
I want to ask some question that some readers may have (that I have): Why is RSS Directory Software really worth the buy? Can’t I just submit my RSS to the directories myself and they automatically update? Do you have a post that explains RSS software better?

Gerlaine,
Yes you can submit your feed to the RSS Directories manually and they automatically update. But adding your blog feed to 30+ RSS directories may take you say an hour?
Then another hour for your Twitter feed, then another hour for your Ezinearticles feed, then another hour…and so on.
Rather than spending hours…I’d rather spend a few bucks and only minutes. What’s an hour of your time worth? A lot more than this tool, I bet!
Here’s a video of me using the tool: Use RSS feed submission to gain more blog traffic

Andrew,
For the RSS Bot … would this type of mass-submission not be considered spam?
So you use RSS Bot to submit to 30 directories and then each time you right a new post they are submitted automatically?
Did I get it right?
And how different is this from having rss directories that are automatically “pinged” inside our blog?

Let me take each of your questions in turn:
For the RSS Bot … would this type of mass-submission not be considered spam?
As long as you spread out the different feeds over a number of days…then no. For instance, today submit your blog rss feed. Tomorrow submit your Twitter feed, day after your FaceBook feed and so on.
So you use RSS Bot to submit to 30 directories and then each time you write a new post they are submitted automatically?
Did I get it right?
Yes and you automatically get 30 backlinks.
And how different is this from having rss directories that are automatically “pinged” inside our blog?
In most cases, the ‘pings’ just ‘tell’ the directories you have add a new post and won’t provide a backlink.
I hope this helps.

I’ve been putting off learning about feeds, but after reading this post I finally got to submit my feed url to feedagg. I’m not expecting anything spectacular from it, but I guess any additional backlinks gained from it is worth the effort I suppose.
