Most pages (I’ve seen) are not too far off, but every once in a while you’ll find 9 month old about page that welcomes you to their affiliate marketing blog…ten you realize 90 outa 100 posts are networking tips. LOL

It’s only my suggestion. If visitors click and visit your “About” page, they go there for a reason – to find out more about you and if you can explain why you do what you do, great. But just my thoughts – we are all different.

Andrew, thanks for response.According to me it doesn’t make necessary to write why we are in this business in about us page, It will be better if we will write in home page. I have seen lot of business site they are only focusing in home page and also doing good business, if I wrong then give right suggestion.

Not necessarily monthly like clockwork; your page should be broad to begin with and if you’re changing things THAT much, you have focus issues hat should be addressed first .

Definitely periodically though. I have privately contacted some bloggers, in a humorous way to not sound downing, that they might want to update soon.

About and Contact are considered the two most important pages on a blog.

17th is good, it may mean they are just checking to make sure you have one before they commit to a long term relationship with you and your bog.

I do it before I subscribe.

Goals and such are a cool thing to add, but you best review and change as often as needed…this could look bad to the reader if not updated.

It really is the most looked at page on your blog apart from the home page itself. I was quite surprised really at how many people look at the ‘about me’ page.

I read a series of 31 posts on problogger.net (not 31dbbb), he told that ‘About me’ page is one of most important pages of a blog. In case I can add something here, I’d like to add a photo. For me, it’s the smiley that every can easily recognize me on social media sites.

Actually, my “about” page is the 46nd most looked at page (in the last month), I guess my readers don’t care much about me, hehe.

My “contact” page is number 17 though, for some reason.

I hadn’t thought about adding a Contact link on the page. I’m going to do that now.

We also include a list of our goals for our blog on our About page. It’s not only there for our readers but as a way of reminding us where our blog should be heading.
