Version 2.8.6 fixes two security problems that can be exploited by registered, logged in users who have posting privileges. If you have untrusted authors on your blog, upgrading to 2.8.6 is recommended.
Simply press the “upgrade” button on your dashboard.
You may also be asked to upgrade your ‘MagpieRSS’, again just press the “upgrade” button.

It seems like there is a Wordpress release every other week now. I must admit I am always a little nervous about upgrading. I have a number of blogs so I usually upgrade the least important one first to make sure there are no problems.

Although I’ve yet to experience any problems in upgrading (touch wood!).
